TOM BIRCH REYNARDSON is the principal of the practice and has over 25 years experience in international dispute resolution. Trained at the specialist marine firm Holman Fenwick and Willan where he became a partner in 1987, he moved to Herbert Smith in 1989 to assist them in setting up their marine litigation department. He then moved to DLA Piper (as they are now called) where he worked until early 2007.

Tom has been involved in a very wide range of international arbitration and litigation both in England and other jurisdictions. His specialism is in marine and international trade law. He has been involved in litigation at all levels of the English commercial court system, and in most of the commodity arbitration forums and many international arbitration tribunals.

Tom is a member of the British Maritime Law Association and is Secretary of the Limitation Committee. He is a member of the London Maritime Arbitrators Association and the London Shipping Law Centre where he lectures regularly. He is also a Trustee of the Comité Maritime International.
